After many requests, I’ve finally figured out how to allow email subscriptions to this blog (hey, I never claimed to be tech savvy:) So, I know you’re all dying to subscribe and get up to the minute updates on what I’m writing about. Ok Ok, I know it’s not earth shattering stuff, but at least you’ll be in the know about upcoming sales, styles and products or at the very minimum it will provide a distraction from work!

Happy Friday everyone! I’m sorry the past few posts have just been about sales. I’m at the end of my pregnancy and my energy level is almost non-existant. I know this will just get worse with the lack of sleep but I promise once things calm down I’ll post about some more creative things!

Until then, I wanted to share that Angela Adams is on Gilt.com today! I’ve written about her before (click here for the post). I love her aesthetic and the quality of her rugs is beautiful. Take a peak! They make great options for any room and the pink colorways would be adorable for a little girls room (sorry babies on the brain).

I came across these fabulous wallpaper prints from Lizzie Allen. Allen creates hand-screened prints featuring retro images from London and New York. I love the vibrant colors and spontaneous designs. I think these papers would be amazing almost anywhere in the home but especially in a kids room or library!

They are a bit pricey (being handmade and all) so another option is to frame a small section to be used as art on any wall!

That being said, I’m really liking these more contemporary options above. From left to right the chairs are from Jennifer Delonge (check out her site she has some beautiful pieces!), Urban Outfitters and Oilo. Ebay has also been a great resource for mid-century rockers but of course today I haven’t found anything to post!

Update: I also came across this glider from Serena & Lily that I think is very cute. It’s not as modern as some of the other ones, but I like its simplicity and the variety of custom fabric options.

There are so many different directions to go with a kid’s room, but I really love some of the more modern decor options that are out there right now including these rugs from Avalisa.  According to their site “Avalisa designs and creates quality modern wall art, hand-tufted new zealand wool rugs, and an aesthetically pleasing children’s game.”

I think these rugs are both playful and kid appropriate while still being modern and sophisticated. Take a peak!

I’m loving this bedroom from Domicile Interior Design in Huntington Beach. I’m a sucker for the color orange and love the accent wall combined with the beautiful Ikat pillows, which are so bright and cheerful. The simple white linens and upholstered headboard are a nice counterpoint to the eclectic accessories and art that fill the room. The overall effect feels ethnic, modern and completely energizing. I was very excited to find out today that John Robshaw will be at Summer House in Mill Valley Friday March 26th from 4PM-7PM debuting his Spring 2010 collection of textiles!

If you’re in the area definitely stop by to meet him and view his fabulous pillows, quilts, dhurries and more! Also if you can’t make it on Friday but are in Mill Valley some other time, definitely stop by Summer House. It’s a fabulous boutique (actually they now have three locations in Mill Valley) that carries beautiful one of a kind furniture pieces and accessories.
