Pledge Fabric Sweeper

For all of you without pets this won’t be interesting at all. Those of you with dogs or cats listen up, this will change your life! Ok, that might be a little dramatic, but it will diminish some of the pet hair around your house. I wasn’t confident the Pledge Fabric Sweeper was going to work, but I’m sure after you take one look at Lucy (pictured below) you will understand that I was desperate to try anything.

I love Lucy. I actually think it’s safe to say I’m a little obsessed. But the dog has sooo much hair we have to vacuum every other day. Additionally, because we are suckers and let her go wherever she wants, she has free reign of all furniture including the bed. This is where the Pledge Fabric Sweeper comes in handy. Every morning I just swipe the thing from side to side all over our comforter and it gets rid of almost any trace of hair. To me, this is amazing (apparently I’m impressed easily)! Nothing else has worked and that’s why I need to rave about this product. If you have a pet, I promise this will be your saving grace. Go try it!

In one of her recent posts, my dear friend Molly over at Family Fabulous brought up an interesting solution to baby changing tables in small spaces … dog beds. I’ll admit this was a bit unexpected but totally makes sense and got me thinking about all the wonderful dog beds out there.

While I don’t have any kids, I do have my dog Lucy. Unfortunately, she’s 70 pounds and many of the beds out there can’t accommodate her, er… heft shall we say? (I need to choose my words wisely, I don’t want any doggy complexes) And much to our chagrin, she’s taken quite a liking to our own bed, which has led to a few sleepless nights lately, but that’s a different story for a different day.

Anyway, I rounded up some of my favorite beds. You truly can find any style from mod to shabby chic to lux hotel to uber-modern. The prices also vary drastically from $30 to the thousands! Regardless of price I thought some of these would be fun to share.

Who knows, if Lucy has a fabulous dog bed maybe she’ll be motivated to move to the floor. But that’s going to have to be a pretty special bed, I’m thinking something made out of dog bones… any suggestions?

I’ll admit I probably have an unhealthy obsession with my dog Lucy, but I just love to spoil her and make her life as comfortable as possible. I recently found these elevated dog dishes from Vurv Design and I can’t wait to purchase them for her. Not only are they super chic, but now Lucy won’t have to lean over too far to get to her food and water (as I said, anything for her comfort). Ok, ridiculous doting aside, I love the clean lines and modern design of these dog bowls and I think they’ll make a fabulous addition to our kitchen!
