ABC Kitchen

Admittedly, we just stopped in here for drinks. Actually, Joe went first while I looked at pillows on ABC’s first floor. He came back holding an ice-cold beer and while I think he was breaking numerous rules while drinking his way through the store, the pilsner made him much more patient during my shopping escapade so I decided to turn a blind eye.

We went back to the restaurant when he needed a refill and for once I was thrilled that he pushed for another drink because I loved the decor! The look goes along with their whole organic farm to table concept, which is everywhere right now. But I loved the pure white textured walls, along with the reclaimed wood beams, antique mirrors, raw wood tables and exposed brick. The overall effect was inviting and warm while remaining modern.

Looking around at the plates of the brunch crowd, the food looked delicious and we plan to actually eat next time we’re back although I will say my two blood orange Bellini’s were excellent. An added perk was running into Meg Ryan and her daughter along with some mystery man having a quiet brunch together. Love her (plastic surgery and all!)
