In true San Francisco style (a measure to rename a sewage plant after Pres. Bush was on our ballot this last election), some highly motivated pranksters chose to share their enthusiasm for our new President by changing all the street signs on Bush St. to read Obama. Not only am I impressed with their work, I can’t think of a better way to rename the street! I just had to share. Well done!

Dan Stiles

I recently heard about this graphic artist from a local boutique called Zinc Details that’s featuring his work in a show starting tomorrow. Dan Stiles is from Portland Oregon and has been collaborating with artists, labels, promoters and major corporations to create identities, custom packaging, and limited edition collectable art and merchandise for the past 15 years.
I’m always looking for interesting, relatively inexpensive pieces of art and these posters definitely fit the bill. They are all unique and he produces limited quantities of each series. Aside from all the awesome musicians he’s created pieces for, I love the originality, colors and creativeness of each poster. This is definitely an artist to watch!
