Serena & Lily

February 22nd, 2011 § Leave a Comment

This eclectic bohemian look seems to be everywhere right now and while it will inevitably become an overused, annoying trend (if it hasn’t already) I’m currently happy to hop on the bandwagon. I think it’s such a fun way to decorate although this look is deceivingly difficult to create. That being said I think Serena & Lily’s current collection has some fantastic accessories and furniture pieces that could beautifully accomplish this look.

For example I’m loving their “chakkis” (in full disclosure I have one on the way. I’ll let you know how it looks when it arrives). Their “poufs” are so fun and a great addition to any kids nursery or play room while their furniture pieces feature classic lines that ground almost any bold accessory.

I actually think one of Serena & Lily’s strong points is their Bazaar. You have to hop on these items quickly, but I love the uniqueness of their finds. Stay tuned as the next Bazaar starts on March 25th and you don’t want to miss out!

So if you’re into this bohemian trend, take a peak and maybe you’ll find a fabulous addition for your room!

One Kings Lane

Most of you probably know about this site, but in case you don’t it’s definitely worth checking out! It’s basically the Gilt of home decor. Become a member and sign up for their daily sales. Some aren’t great, but it’s a good spot for home accessories like like throws and pillows. Plus I’m a total sucker for the dog in all their branding.

ABC Home & Carpet

First off, it’s been awhile! I keep meaning to post but little Oliver keeps me on the run. I’m sincerely going to try to post daily from here on out!

Joe and I just got back from a lovely trip to NY for our friends’ wedding (which was beautiful!). It was our first trip without Oliver and actually my first time ever away from the little guy. It was incredibly difficult for me to leave but we had such an amazing time once we got to NY that I’m glad I did.

The quick trip was pretty much spent eating, drinking and shopping and one of our stops was ABC Home (definitely a top 5 store for me). While I realize there’s nothing very new about ABC Home (it’s been around since 1897 after all) I always love going there and am consistently blown away by their incredible inventory.

While nothing beats going there in person, if you can’t make it out to NYC their website is pretty decent. Here are a few of my faves from when we were there!

PS The above pic is actually of the ABC Kitchen, which we stopped in for a drink (I really wasn’t kidding when I say that’s pretty much all we did). I’ll write more on our experience there soon!
