A Shady Dilemma
April 3rd, 2009 § 2 Comments

My friend recently asked me to help her find some non-traditional drapery options. This is a seemingly easy task, but upon further research I was hard pressed to find things outside of the typical West Elm, Ikea, Pottery Barn category. That’s when I came across The Shade Store. This store carries window treatments in Maharam, Chilewich and Dwell Studio fabrics. They run in about the $250 per panel range, which isn’t cheap, but is a reasonable price for draperies that look custom made.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find photos that really did the designs justice. Check out their website to see a large collection of items. Dwell Studio is one of my favorite designers and I’m thrilled to see their fabrics available in drapes and roman shades. I think their designs are so fun and many of them make great options for a child’s room or casual living room area!
