Ask Adrienne!
March 12th, 2009 § Leave a Comment

I’ve added a new feature to Adrienne’s List called Ask Adrienne (very creative title I know :) . For the past few months I’ve been writing about anything and everything that I love or want to purchase, but I’d love to hear your feedback! I’m also curious about what you want to read about. Outdoor Furniture, Paint Colors, Office Storage? It’s all fair game and I want to hear about it! So email me at StarterStylist@gmail.com and I’ll help you out!
Schoolhouse Electric Co.

I just wanted to pass along that Schoolhouse Electric Co. has come out with their 2009 styles. I love this lighting company. They have replicated more than a 100 school-house style shades and light fixtures from 1900-1950 using a collection of original cast-iron moulds the founder discovered in an upstate New York warehouse. This collection represents some of the best examples of true American lighting design and is the inspiration behind Schoolhouse Electric Co. These styles make the perfect punctuation to a kitchen or bathroom!

Make it Rain
March 3rd, 2009 § Leave a Comment

I discovered these rain catchers/gutters this weekend and thought they were such a lovely and creative way to manage rain! The water trickles down the small containers creating the effect of a serene fountain. I’m in the process of finding out who made these, but I had to share especially with the onset of this crazy storm we’re having. I’ll keep you posted on the details but until then enjoy the pics above!
