A Natural Accent

I love the texture and beauty of natural wood. I think it adds so much character to a room and is a great way to add visual interest without having to incorporate another color into the space. I think these stunning wood stools make the perfect accent piece without breaking the bank. They’re understated and lovely. There are so many options out there, but above are some of my faves from Wisteria and Velocity. Jayson Home & Garden also carries a line of petrified wood stools that are a little pricier but are unique and beautiful!

As many of you know, I have long regretted our decision to purchase a pale green couch when we first moved in together. Fortunately, we were able to take advantage of the Restoration Hardware sale that ended yesterday to finally buy a replacement and I’m thrilled! We ordered the Easton couch and I made sure to stick to a very neutral color that I plan to dress up with some fun accent pillows. The other colors in our living room are going to be orange and a pale blue. The couch style is a little unusual, but I loved the nailhead trim detail and I think it will go very nicely with the library chairs we already have (also pictured above). Stay tuned for pics of our final living room makeover! Until then, I just couldn’t help but share our new addition!

Update: I just have to get this out there because I think it’s sneaky and annoying. Sometime last week, Restoration Hardware significantly raised its price on this item and then marked it “On Sale”. Well the sale price is now more expensive than what the regular price was a couple weeks ago. I’m sure they have done this with most of their pieces. I understand that times are tough and companies need to make some money, but I just think this was a dishonest way to do it. Don’t mark something “On Sale” when you’re really charging the customer more than you were before.

If you still need a sofa and like the piece but can hold out I would try to go to their warehouse sale that’s every third week of the month. You have to be in the Bay Area for this, but I have a feeling they are going to have a lot of overstock in the next couple months so you’ll find some great deals and there’s a chance this piece could be there.

Where Am I?
