Finally!

As many of you know, I have long regretted our decision to purchase a pale green couch when we first moved in together. Fortunately, we were able to take advantage of the Restoration Hardware sale that ended yesterday to finally buy a replacement and I’m thrilled! We ordered the Easton couch and I made sure to stick to a very neutral color that I plan to dress up with some fun accent pillows. The other colors in our living room are going to be orange and a pale blue. The couch style is a little unusual, but I loved the nailhead trim detail and I think it will go very nicely with the library chairs we already have (also pictured above). Stay tuned for pics of our final living room makeover! Until then, I just couldn’t help but share our new addition!

A-Lister’s Need to Know:
Purchase: www.restorationhardware.com
Update: I just have to get this out there because I think it’s sneaky and annoying. Sometime last week, Restoration Hardware significantly raised its price on this item and then marked it “On Sale”. Well the sale price is now more expensive than what the regular price was a couple weeks ago. I’m sure they have done this with most of their pieces. I understand that times are tough and companies need to make some money, but I just think this was a dishonest way to do it. Don’t mark something “On Sale” when you’re really charging the customer more than you were before.
If you still need a sofa and like the piece but can hold out I would try to go to their warehouse sale that’s every third week of the month. You have to be in the Bay Area for this, but I have a feeling they are going to have a lot of overstock in the next couple months so you’ll find some great deals and there’s a chance this piece could be there.
Looks fantastic. The guy who bought that thing must be one smart dude.
that is going to look awesome with those chairs! good pick!
Yes, I can vouch that he is a very ‘smart dude’ :)
Thanks! I think it will all work nicely together, we’ll see…
Oooh, I LOVE that! It’s beautiful! Is that your new-new living room, or still in SF?
I can’t believe you finally got rid of the green couch. No more homeless people feet!
ha ha, not to worry it’s now in the study area. It’s one of Lucy’s favorite spots so we couldn’t do away with it completely!
Thanks for your update on Restoration Hardware’s “sale”. That’s not only sneaky, it’s dishonest. It comes darn close to bait and switch which is illegal. (This is definitely “bait” but there’s no switch of merchandise, just a switch of price to the disadvantage of those who weren’t paying as much attention as you were.)
