I received so many amazing gifts from friends and family this holiday, thank you to everyone for being so generous! One in particular I felt would be fun to share here is a book I received called “American Fashion” the limited edition published by Assouline. This is truly a beautiful book from the outside in. As you can see above, it comes in a complimentary hard case and the pages are filled with the works of American fashion talents from the 30′s to today. The book’s pages contain 250 illustrations printed on a fabulous matte card stock. The only unfortunate part is we couldn’t fit it in our carry-on so it’s currently being shipped back down to San Francisco from Portland. I was able to peruse the book on Christmas but I can’t wait to have it back in hand so I can fully indulge in it’s content!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Because I’ve procrastinated so much on getting the apartment ready for tonight’s soiree, today is going to be a frantic scramble of decorating and “cooking” (that’s in quotes because I just have to buy all the food and my husband will be the chef… it really is in the best interest of our guests if they want something edible!) so there won’t be much time for anything else.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and I hope Santa brings all of you some fun stuff this evening!

Modern Baroque

I have to say I’m really liking the modern baroque frames and mirrors that are out right now. They’re kind of quirky but still look sophisticated. A couple of my favorites out there are these monochromatic ones from a shop here in San Francisco called Propeller Modern. Overall the shop has some really fun stuff so take a peak!
